Summer To Do for You and Your Baby!

☀️ Summer Activities to Enjoy with Your Baby

Looking for ways to enjoy the sunshine with your little one this summer? Whether you’re feeling adventurous or just want to get out of the house for a low-key outing, here’s a Summer To-Do List we put together with some of our favourite ways to make memories when the weather is warm:

🍓 Local Adventures & Outings

  • Strawberry pickingHerrles Farm in St. Agatha is a local gem!

  • Visit the Butterfly Conservatory – a magical sensory experience for all ages.

  • Hang out at the library – both KPL and WPL have wonderful baby programs and air conditioning!

  • Explore a farmer’s market – enjoy fresh produce, music, and community vibes.

  • Check out a splash pad – there are lots around KW and perfect for tiny toes on hot days.

  • Watch construction sitestoddlers love diggers, dump trucks, and cranes in action!

  • Go to a local festival – Pack baby ear protection and soak up the atmosphere together. Hillside, Jazz, Blues, and Buskers are just a few.

  • Visit the Toronto Zoo or Ripley’s Aquarium – colourful, engaging, and stroller-friendly.

💧 Water Play & Outdoor Fun

  • Take swimming lessons together – a great bonding and confidence-building activity.

  • Use your infant bathtub outside – let baby enjoy a shaded “cool bath” on a hot day.

  • Blow bubbles – babies are mesmerized! Bonus: great photo ops.

  • Pull out outdoor toys – even if baby isn’t hula-hooping, they’ll love exploring new shapes and textures.

  • Pack a picnic and head to your favourite park or beach – I adore Bayfield and go weekly with my kids in summer!

🌿 Slow & Simple Summer Joy

  • Take a sensory walk – talk about what you see, hear, and smell. Let baby touch leaves, feel the breeze, or dip toes in grass.

  • Lay out a blanket in the backyard or balcony – shade, a few toys, and a cool drink for you is often all you need.

  • Read outside – even if baby wriggles, it’s peaceful time together.

  • Create a DIY baby-safe art project – try yogurt + food colouring or a shallow tray of water play with safe items.

  • Start a summer photo journal – capture small, sweet moments all summer long.

💛 Community Connection

  • Take a postpartum yoga class – Our BABY + ME YOGA classes are running in July and early August—a gentle way to move, connect, and reset.

  • Join our Friday Family Circle – a free, welcoming drop-in for new parents. Come as you are and be reminded that you’re not alone.

💬 A Gentle Reminder

You don’t have to do everything. One small outing, one shared giggle, one breezy walk to the mailbox—it all counts.

If your summer includes contact naps, iced coffee, and chasing shade, know that you’re still making memories. You’re doing an incredible job.
